Gilt Bronze figure of Manjushri
16th Century Tibet

Seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with incised floral border, his riht hand raised in vitarka mudra, wearing floret armlets and necklaces inset with turquoise and coral and dhoti with incised lotus scrolls, flanked by lotus stalks issuing from the base and supporting his attributes, the sword and book of wisdom, richly gilt overall.

Height 19.5cm 7 3/4 inches
